This portfolio site
Designed and built in about 7 hours with Claude and the Webflow MCP, using real CMS collections and interactions.
Problem
I needed one portfolio link for CVs, LinkedIn and job platforms that also proves my Webflow skills, built on the free Starter plan with a $0 budget.
What I built
A one-page Webflow portfolio that doubles as a live demo of how I work: Claude connected to Webflow through the Webflow MCP, with every step reviewed by hand.
- Design system first: color and font variables, plus reusable classes for buttons, labels, cards and sections, so one change updates the whole site.
- Real CMS: a Case Studies collection with fields for platform, type, problem, build, tools, results, links and video. The Home list and these case study pages both read from it.
- Native interactions, no custom code: letter-by-letter name reveal, staged hero entrance, a looping platform marquee, word-by-word heading reveals, scroll fade-ins, a cursor follower and a 3D console tilt, all built on Webflow's GSAP-powered interactions and switched off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
- Built within the free plan: 2 static pages, a native contact form, responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and phone, and SEO titles and descriptions set from the CMS.
Sections were inserted through the MCP from an approved mockup, then checked in the Designer one at a time before moving on.
Result
Designed and built in about 7 hours: around 3 hours on design with Claude, then about 4 hours to build the site through the Webflow MCP.
PageSpeed Insights scores, tested October 25, 2026:
- Performance: 84 on mobile, 98 on desktop
- Accessibility: 95
- Best Practices: 100
- SEO: 100
All animations run on Webflow's native interactions, with no custom code, on the free Starter plan.
